The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recently began providing commercial motor carrier companies with a preview of their safety rankings under the agency’s new enforcement and compliance program, the Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) 2010.

This assessment includes the seven CSA 2010 Behavior Analysis and Safety Improvement Categories (BASICs): Unsafe Driving, Fatigued Driving (Hours-of-Service), Driver Fitness, Controlled Substances/Alcohol, Vehicle Maintenance, Cargo-Related and Crash Indicator. According to FMCSA, carriers will have until the national CSA 2010 rollout on December 5, 2010 to preview their safety performance data and address any unsafe behaviors.
