When we first released My DAT Trucker Services — a free app for Android and iPhone mobile devices — we didn’t know how it would be received. So far, we have had more than 100,000 downloads on the Android, plus tens of thousands on the iPhone, and owner-operators and other carriers on the mobile app have used it to search for loads as well as truck stops, scales and other services.
My DAT Trucker Services displays nearby loads that are posted to the DAT Extended Network, which also includes loads posted to monitors at more than 1,000 truck stops nationwide. In addition to locally available loads, truckers can use the free app to find nearby truck stops, scales, truck washes and fuel prices, plus other local information and points of interest that are important to commercial drivers. The app is an extension of DAT’s historic mission, which was to help and support drivers, by giving them timely access to freight, services and information they need.
The mobile app is also helpful to brokers, because it gives you more opportunities to connect with owner-operators and drivers while they are in transit. My DAT Trucker Services truly extends the broker’s network of carrier contacts, even beyond our DAT Load Boards, our owner-operator load board TruckersEdge, and its counterpart, MembersEdge, an exclusive load board for OOIDA members.
