No segment of America is immune from hunger and food insecurity, and that includes the trucking community. Carriers nationwide face difficulty in finding basic nutrition on a daily basis (particularly during down markets), and Meals for 18 Wheels was established to combat that very problem. 

Meals for 18 Wheels is based on Facebook and operates with a crowd-sourced model. The charity posts information about the location of a truck driver in need of a meal and drivers (or others) in the area respond with aid.
