Beaverton, OR —September 16, 2024 — Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive have named Dr. Erika Voss as one of the winners of this year’s Women in Supply Chain Award. This award celebrates female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship, and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.
Dr. Erika Voss is a recipient of the award in the DEI Pioneer category, honored for her leadership and transformative initiatives. As DAT Freight & Analytics’ first executive-level information and security officer, Erika has significantly fortified the company’s defense mechanisms, embedding security deeply into the company’s culture. Her leadership extends beyond technical expertise; she is an internal advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Erika actively sponsors DAT’s women in tech group and Pride Month initiatives and participates in educational outreach on LGBTQ+ issues, demonstrating her commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.
“Erika’s leadership and dedication to DAT’s cybersecurity, as well as her strong commitment to employee inclusion, set a remarkable example for us all,” said Jeff Clementz, DAT Freight & Analytics CEO & President. “Her ability to combine technical excellence with a strong commitment to diversity makes her a true trailblazer, and we are thrilled to celebrate her achievements.”
A change agent for cybersecurity, Erika was celebrated last year on NY Times Square Nasdaq as 1 of 5 women making cybersecurity history. Her unique background—transitioning from a corrections officer to an IT and cybersecurity expert—provides a distinctive perspective that enhances her approach to security challenges.
“Every year, this award continues to amaze me. But this year especially, it’s all about the quality of the submissions. These women are doing remarkable things for their communities, organizations and teams and are paving the way for future young female leaders to be a part of an industry that’s making a difference,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Co-Founder of the Women in Supply Chain Forum. “New this year, the award was broken down into Rising Stars, Trailblazers, DEI Pioneer and Workforce Innovator. From there, we named an overall winner per category and then four honorable mentions per category. This year’s applications were superb and made it next to impossible to just pick one winner. I’m so proud of these women and their achievements. We’re just getting started.”
